Begun as a Ludum Dare game jam, Galaxia was conceived as a way for players to meaningfully interact with really big numbers like the number of stars in the galaxy. The game challenges the player to ‘control the entire galaxy’ starting from a single planet.

Description

Galaxia v.4 revamps the game's power and combat models. Power is now used only by factories when they are active. This lessens the brutality of the 'out of power' scenarios from v.3. If you have too many mine factories, just disable mine factories and build whatever you need instead. The second major change is to combat. Instead of a simple capacity game: "when hostiles attack do you have more fighters than enemy ships," now hostile attacks spawn a Galcon-esque mini game for control of a small region of the galaxy. I'd really appreciate feedback on this event and welcome your ideas for adjustments and improvements.
