Description
Farmwand is a farming and exploration game with open-world and RPG elements set in a unique magical world full of memorable characters, incredible creatures and countless mysteries, with a charming storybook style. Farm your land, learn new spells, make some potions (and some friends!) and discover all the mysteries that Farmwand holds for you. The game is currently being developed by Irreverent Software and is coming...when it is ready!
History
The idea for Farmwand came from the shared interest me and my wife have for farming games, fantasy stories and children's storybooks. We have always enjoyed to play together all sorts of games, farming games in particular, as we find it relaxing and really fun, something we can spend countless hours doing.
However, during some of those playing sessions, we had a discussion about all the possibilities that bringing magic into the mix could open, from brand new crops and animals to incredible new ways to perform all sorts of tasks, both big and small.
That initial talk turned into months of planning and world-building, where characters, places and creatures came to life and many potions and spells were thought out, all coming together to make the foundation of what our first game would be : Farmwand.
