Dungeon Duels is a multiplayer 1v1 top-down fighting game made in GameMaker: Studio. Players can choose one of 10 characters (more coming), all with different abilities and strengths, to play as in a 1v1 duel against their friend. While the game currently only works over the same local network, other applications can be used to play from anywhere.


Character List:

  • Eckhardt - abilities changed!
    • Basic attack is shooting a crossbow. Arrows can not travel through walls. He has 4 ammo he can spend on arrows or traps, and when he uses it all, he gets a brief burst of movement speed then is stunned for a second while he reloads.
    • Consumes 2 ammo to place a trap which stuns enemies. 6 seconds after placing the trap, Eckhardt can walk over it to pick it up and gets 1 ammo back.
  • Dorin
    • Basic attack is swinging his axe, dealing lots of damage very quickly.
    • He can use his special ability to become faster for up to 3 seconds. Takes 12 seconds to fully recharge his speed.
  • Ragnis
    • Basic attack is placing down landmine (maximum 4 at a time).
    • Activate special ability to detonate all landmines dealing damage to everything around them (reduced damage to self).
  • Necron
    • Basic attack is slashing enemies with a dagger.
    • Can activate his special ability to teleport to his target point (new target point becomes where he teleported from last) and his next basic attack within one second deals double damage.
  • Saida
    • Basic attack is shooting her gun. Can shoot very quickly. Bullets do not go through walls.
    • While activating her special ability she can see further and shoot through walls. These shots do more damage but put her gun on a longer cooldown before she can shoot again. These bullets also slow enemies for half a second on impact.
  • Bjorn - abilities changed!
    • Basic attack is slamming his shield down on the ground creating a circle of impact after a short delay.
    • Holding right-click will protect him with his shield. This consumes a bar of energy which once empty he can no longer shield. Also, he can left-click while shielding to consume 2/3 of his shield bar to stun in a circle around him.
  • Kevin
    • Basic attack is a punch in front of him, setting his target on fire for 2 seconds.
    • He can use his special ability to throw a fireball, stunning the target if they are already burning from a basic attack.
  • Liquin -
    • Basic attack is punching the target in front of him.
    • Special ability turns him to water for a few seconds giving him extra speed and immunity to all attacks. While in his special ability, he can reactivate his special ability to dash in a target direction. At the end of his dash, he creates a pool of water around him, slowing enemies. When the special ability ends, liquin is slowed for 2 seconds.
  • Boldur -
    • Basic attack makes him jump up into the air and slam the ground, damaging the target in front of him.
    • Special ability makes him pull in his legs and roll in the target direction, stunning enemies around him at the end of his roll.
  • Noctis -
    • Basic attack slashes a dagger damaging target in front of him, doing a lot of damage. His basic attack can only be done once every 4 seconds.
    • Special ability makes him dash at a high speed towards his target. Hitting an enemy with his basic attack resets the cooldown time of his dash, allowing him to dash again.
  • Volt - new!
    • Basic attack lets out an electric shock around him applying a stack to his enemy and dealing damage if hit. The enemy can have up to 3 stacks which wear off after 6 seconds of not being hit.
    • Special ability teleports him to a close location. The range of this is long enough to just get over a wall or gap. Teleporting also lets out an electric shock which damages enemies based on how many stacks they have, also slowing them shortly of they had 3 stacks.
  • Eldur - new!
    • Has no specific "basic attack" or "special abilities" but both right click and left click do something different.
    • Left click send out a red orb. Right click sends out a blue orb. Cooldowns for each orb is 2 seconds. Hitting an enemy with an orb marks them with that color and deals no damage. Hitting an already marked enemy with the opposite color will simply deal damage. This is his basic combo as he can send out a red and blue quickly together. If he hits a red orb on a red marked target it will deal damage and burn them. If he hits a blue orb on a blue marked target they take damage and get stunned.
    • Orbs will be destroyed if they hit a wall, but if they miss the enemy and get to the end of their range they will become a floating purple orb. There can only be one of these at once so you must break your old one to make a new one. Hitting a purple orb will cause your red or blue orb to split off 90 degrees to both the left and right making this perfect for hitting people around corners.
