Drafting Tales has been updated to version 0.12.0.
Inspiration
The most important gameplay change in this update is in the Inspiration mechanic. You can now keep working even if your Inspiration has dropped to zero, however you won’t be gaining any XP from writing and your writing speed will be slower until your Inspiration recovers (any Speed EP will be ignored). You still need to carefully manage your Inspiration, but now there's less chance that you will go bankrupt due to running out of Inspiration.
Task progress dialog
The task progress dialog was taking up too much space in smaller screens and has been redesigned to be more compact. The current task is now displayed at the bottom-right corner of the screen, just below the work queue.
Character dialog
Fiction/non-fiction genres have been split into separate groups in the Character dialog and are now clearly marked.
Work status dialog
The summary page in the Work status dialog has been redesigned.
Awards
If you are in a hurry, there's now a button to skip the awards ceremony!
Genres/topics
Genres/topics in the Write dialog are now sorted alphabetically.
Autosave
The game has a new autosave option which is enabled by default (triggers monthly and when quitting the game). It can be disabled in the options menu.
Other notable changes
- When reading Effort Point books, you will now slowly recover Inspiration at the Idle rate.
- There's no need anymore to manually complete your work during the Revising stage. When your work reaches maximum clarity it will now auto-complete.
We've also made a new trailer for version 0.12.0.
Interesting concept and solid update! How long do you think you'll keep it in early access/updating it? Have a bit of a roadmap of features in mind?
Thank you! Ideally, we would like to release the full game within 2019. We have a list of features that we'd like to see in the final release, but we haven't published our plans. We don't want to risk overpromising during Early Access and underdelivering.

That's completely fair, great to hear though that you've got a feature list in mind and a goal of this year. Best of luck with development! :)
Nice very cool! how long time do you need to finish the game?
Thanks! Our current plan is to release the full game within 2019.
I really like the idea that you keep working even when your inspiration has dropped to zero - this is very accurate with writers. You have to keep going even when you lack inspiration. Good work.
Thank you very much!
