With this tool you can easily explore and unpack any or all of the files stored inside DooM *.resources archives.
Use Extract button to simply extract file or the whole folder onto disk.
Use Export button to extract and convert textures and models into readable formats!
Textures exported into TGA, models are exported into OBJ and FBX!
Troubleshooting:
* If DoomResEx doesn't start complaining about missing DLLs - please download & install Microsoft VS 2015 Redistributable using this link: Microsoft.com

* All animated models (*.bmd6model) can be exported into FBX format with all the bones and vertex assignments + weights !
* Fixed export into OBJ - now models will be converted from DooM coordinate system into common coordinate system (Y up)

How about a feature to import files back ? that would make it perfect .
I'm working on it. Hopefully I'll make this feature available before DooM release (this Friday).
Think you could add .iqm export instead of .fbx? It's a much friendlier format to work with (and I can't open the .fbx models exported by the current version of DoomResEx in any program I've tried)
Additionally, the released game has some models that can't be read (plenty of them in generated->basemodel->md6->characters->humans->male->base->assets->mesh), and one that crashes the tool (generated->basemodel->md6->characters->monsters->cacodemon->base->assets->mesh->cacodemon.bmd6model)

I'm not sure aboud IQM format, as it's something non-standard. I'd rather think about MD5.
BTW - the tool exports rigged models to FBX 2016.0, so please update your import plugins or use more recent versions of your 3D Tools.

I'm having trouble finding textures for the revenant. I've looked through a lot of the file directory, and still have not been able to find anything. Any help would be appreciated!

I need to find and kill that ca_mp_generic_pickup_glow effects that are on the items and interaction panels...
can't load the fbx into blender why is that? also the official autodesk converter dose not work.
