After several months of hard working, I decided to show my game to the indie world with a very unique trailer.
I hope you'll enjoy its special atmosphere. Actually, it really communicates very well the overall ambiant of the game. You'll discover what you'll be living while playing the game. I'm very excited about it, I hope you'll enjoy it as much as I did while working on it.
You can check it there (vimeo)
or find it in the video section (it should be converted by now).
Working on it was very hard. DON'T KILL HER is a game about getting surprised and narrative stuff. So, how can you make it feel appealing in a trailer ? Believe me, it's a hard task !
I made a first version where I didn't show a lot of stuff. She wasn't even talking. I was afraid it would reveal too much of the very core narrative concept. But then I decided to erase it because it was way too boring. So I decided to make it a little more explicit. It was worth it.
The point is, as working all the day alone on this, I couldn't remember that other people don't have any idea about what's really going on in the game. You're not as involved as I am into this, that's why you still can't figure out, even by watching this trailer. (Even if for me, this is way too explicit).
So, I learned a lot while making this trailer, and it will even helps to polish the narrative concept, to make it more understandable and enjoyable for the player. But... I can't talk too much about it ;)
Feel free to feedback in any way you want (even death threats).
