Victory Conditions - Hold 5 capitals for 3 consecutive turns. (or victory by concession)
Diplomacy - Only trades are binding.
Disallowed Exploits - I will use Calahans list of banned exploits.

admin!). Site Searching while besieging or whilst being besieged. And any other
such exploitative keyboard shortcut that I am either unaware of, or can not
currently recall. There are to be no exceptions to this rule without my
permission, and I am only ever likely to give my permission in situations where
using a keyboard shortcut is needed to counter an exploit.

5. Exploiting obvious mod bugs. If you find something which is obviously
wrong or looks wrong then you have a duty to report it, and not exploit the bug
until the admin makes a decision on it.

6. No move-blocking by probing enemy armies with lone commanders. If you
want to probe an enemy army then hide a Scout in that province and use the
"Attack Current Province" command, as that runs no risk of blocking
enemy movement. Any player that uses move-blocking is in immediate violation of
the next rule.

7. Being a general douche bag is not allowed in this game. This is
probably the most important rule of the game, and if you break it then you can
expect to be kicked out.

I'm not sure if there is a balanced version of Plane of Rusty Nails for 11 Land nations. I think there are versions for 10+1, 10, 9+1, or 9. But not 11 Land (AFAIK). I would normally offer to try and balance a map if a particular version of it isn't available, but that's off the table right now I'm afraid due to teething troubles with my new laptop (plus a general lack of time on my part until the end of the month).

So not sure if you want to drop the number of players down to 10, balance Plane of Rusty Nails for 11, or switch to another map that has balanced starts for 11 Land. Or go with random starts (but the latter is not recommended for games aimed at new players).

Yes, you are right. I only found 9 or 10 options for land players with fixed starts.

I would like to reduce number of players to 9 and don't change map. I like playing with odd number of players. Also victory conditions would change to "Hold 5 capitals for 3 consecutive turns. (or victory by concession)".

What players think about this change? Do you want less players or other map?

I'm okay with reducing the # of players.

i'm completely new to LA. i heard out-of-wack stuff like freespawn everywhere and insane commanders.
is it a bad idea to want to join this game?

Yes, many nations have some kind of free units. AFAIK there are 3 nations with nation wide freespawn: Ermor, R'leth and Pangea with national global spell.

wow, i just gave LA few nations a try in SP.
everything is undead. is there a super priest nation which i can use to banish you guys away?

the other thing is that the mages generally suck (those that i tried). except for patala. it has strong picks for magic, and cheap monkeys for communions. astral and water can blast undead easily. but i really had a tough time with expansion. the troops are either terrible or expensive. in fact, i kept losing to independents! shucks. give me a little bit more time to think about it.

As for 24 hours no players have disagreed with reducing number of player slots for this game, I'm reducing number of players from 11 to 9 and changing victory conditions to: "Hold 5 capitals for 3 consecutive turns. (or victory by concession)"

Hello everyone
I'm kind of new on the Desura forum but I already played some games on the Dom3Mods forum.
I see that you are missing a player, I might jump in if you need (as mictlan). However I don't consider myself a truly new or inexperienced player, I haven't won a game yet and played 4-5 MP till now. If you want to keep the spot open for some true new or inexperienced player it's fine for me.
In my defense i am totally inexperienced regarding LA games so in case you accept my participation I will need a couple of days to figure out a pretender

This will be my 4th game, other 3 are in progress. It's hard to define who is "inexperienced player". If you played with other rather new players, and you didn't won, you are still inexperienced player for me.
