Extraction is a first-person rail shooter set to introduce new enemies, characters, weapons and environments to the series. However, Visceral has promised a new experience to standard rail shooters, hinting at new gameplay aspects to the genre, and dubbed it "guided first person experience." Some elements that differentiate it from a standard rail shooter are the inclusion of puzzles and branching pathways, making it more of an adventure game than an arcade-style shooter. Players will also have some degree of control over the camera. The gameplay uses the pointer function of the Wii Remote for aiming at enemies. Twisting the Wii Remote will activate a weapon's secondary firing mode, and swinging the Wii Remote performs a melee attack. Features from the original game, such as stasis, dismemberment, and zero gravity, will remain and will stay critical to gameplay. Kinesis from the first game also appears to be available from the start of the game.

Great game, a superbly action packed - pulse pounding horror game, even within the first moments on the desolate spaceship you are attacked, and every turn still scares me, this game has pulled it off.

No matter how much you're expecting something scary, you'll always get a big shock, which means much to someone who loves the adrenaline rush. )
