Answers you want to know in the darkness and fear, which makes your heartbeat race like violent blows against your head. Where do "they" come from? What has happened? Are you just turning insane? The time is up; you can't stay there reading your smses forever. It's time to head out and find the answers. Cry of Fear is a singleplayer modification of Half-Life 1 which brings you the horror you've always been afraid of. It's a total conversion of Half-Life 1, which means it uses NO Half-Life 1 content or other peoples' files. It's all made exclusively by the developers. It also uses new gaming styles that you will rarely find in Half-Life mods, such as advanced cutscenes and other stuff that will be revealed at a later date.
Okay, this has been a long time coming, but it's finally here: The unspectacular sequel to the first videocast. Featuring, in order of appearance, Minuit (me), Andreas (ruMpel), Stig (DragonNor).

Wow I really like that new flashlight thing you guys have got going, but I have a suggestion.
In doom3 you could only have the flashlight or a gun, no inbetween. So why can't Simon just hold a flashlight in one hand and his handgun in the other and then give them a small consequence like lowered accuracy?

Sooo, you're using Paranoia's renderer now? Have you enhanced the bump and specular capacity because I don't remember seeing normal maps that shiney in Paranoia.
That forest map looks fantastic, can't wait to play that one.

Great update! I'm not a huge fan of the Paranoia engine/ renderer, but it seems like you guys are handling it well and making it look unique to CoF, so bravo.

It's so great to see the progress being made on this mod. The work you guys have put into it really, really shows.
The inventory system is looking really slick, a massive improvement on the original one you showed us in the early days of the mod. I'm also really glad to see that you have to put away whatever you're holding when you are on a ladder.
The falling down feature is great too. What happens if you just jump down the stairs though? Also, if you fall from a certain height, will you collapse on the ground when you hit it? That would be pretty cool.
I'm also interested in the independent movement of the flashlight/torch, how does that work exactly? Do you hold down a mouse button to disable mouse look and move the light around?
Great stuff anyway, I'm getting more and more excited about this mod each time you do an update!
You can freely move the mouse around when holding mb1.

Yes, though I don't think you'll have to use the combine function for it, but you'd have to ask James for that one.
