BEST UPCOMING INDIE, 2010
Dear Community,
After more than 30,000 votes.. yes THIRTY THOUSAND VOTES... Tactical Assault has made the Top 100 shortlist!!
To explain in more detail, unlike previous years, indieDB are having their own seperate awards from moddb, specifically created to recognise independent game developers (known as INDIE groups) which of course Tactical Assault falls within under Best Upcoming Indie section.
We are really pleased that the indie scene is being recognised more and more as each year passes, it is the backbone of all future game development with increasing new teams pressing into the limelight and forever pushing the barriers of excellence... anything to show what a dedicated group of individuals can achieve against multimillion pound studios... we're all for it!
Please quickly take note that votes can be made for unreleased games as well, to give reconition to a development team for a variety of reasons, such as Progress made, Commitment levels, Quality of work, Communication with Public (irc, forums, external methods, emails etc..).
Even more pleasing is.. we have already made the top 100 shortlist!! From more than 2,000 indie game developers entries! That is a magnificant achievement and credit to all of you, our fans and loyal community. Wow...!
Phase 2 - Some Key Points:
- Votes run up and till 14th December 2010
- If you are to vote be sure to sign into your MODDB/IndieDB profile before casting your vote, member votes are worth a whole lot more! Likewise, an old account vote earns more vote points than a newly registered account.
- You can select more than 1 game for the TOP 10 awards... however, that would defeat the object right?
We would love to hit the top10 shortlist, although that is a very big step.. reaching the top 100 has more than fulfilled our dreams.. but you have to aim high to get anywhere
We appreciate our community, we constantly listen, communicate freely and one day we look forward to rewarding you all with a game you have been eagerly waiting for!
Fingers crossed all!
I've been a great supporter of you guys till now and I'll always be.
I've voted too. :D
I'm prepping some media releases to thank our community for the support to date, hope to show our new characters fully skinned, rigged and ready to roll into game as well as a new level.
Those that are active or browse or forums will already be aware of this, plus.. just to let you know, all of our news posts go live on our own site first, sometimes a day or two before here to give some exclusivity to those that frequent often.
Thanks all!
