I would love you if you lost the red dot site to add a bit more realism.

RDS's are real...and are used...so I don't see where the realism leaves it.

I know from seeing them in action that SWAT here in PHX has red dots on their AR-15's.
Worst is, its a Holographic EoTech, not a Red-Dot sight (More commonly known as Reflex Sight)

I wouldn't really know (I'm not an expert on guns) but would an M16 have a tan colored magazine like that? And if it's an AR-15 we'll only be able to fire on Semi-Auto right?
It looks like a thermold magazine, a different type from what you would normally see.

It's unrealistic because it's a customized gun (EOTech sight, Magpul PMAG, flip-up rear ironsights, RIS handguard), and having tons of those on the maps is... Well, unrealistic, because what are the chances there would be several rifles lying around that were customized exactly the same way?
That's a cool weapon, maybe let the EoTech be an attachment that players can find on the maps instead of always being on. As said above, could ruin a bit of the realism of a zombie survival. I don't think that we usually see cops using weapons like this nor EoTechs...

Well I didn't mention lying around. But stored in some parts of the campaign, for example, on the body of a SWAT soldier lying inside a barricade that the SWAT had made to try to hold the infestation.
OK but it's the zombie apocalypse, they where probable just lying around. If you where a cop in the zombie apocalypse would you stick with your crappy 9mm (or) 45.cal, or get an ar15 along with those? exactly. ^_^

Well, out of the 5 times I've shot an AR-15, three of those had EoTech holographic sights on them. They're certainly expensive though. I wouldn't put them on as a default, only maybe as a custom option you can find at some points in the game. Also, it's relatively easy to make the gun fire full auto. From my understanding it's simply a matter of a single metal piece being inserted. Highly illegal? Sure is, but not that hard and this is both a game AND THE ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE!
Full auto isn't only illegal, it's stupid... don't want to waste bullets.
Yeah, they should only use Semi and 3 Round burst because those are what the military really uses for the M16, right?
If it's Police Issue I think it would be restricted to Semi and 3-burst. I'd think it would be cool though if you found three different AR-15's, one with a EOTech, maybe one with basic Iron Sights and maybe a third with a some sort of old fasioned Colt Scope.
full auto is very effective to surpress your enemy or in close combat situations...
