Conquest of Elysium 3 is an old school fantasy strategy game. You explore your surroundings conquer locations that provides the resources you need. Resources needed vary much depending on what character you are, e.g. the high priestess need places where she can gather human sacrifices, the baron needs places where tax can be collected and where iron can be mined. These resources can then be used for magic rituals and troop recruitments. The main differentiator for this game is the amount of features and special abilities that can be used. The game can be played on Windows, Linux (x86 and raspberry pi) and Mac OSX (intel and powerpc).

Not sure where best to post this. Moderators feel free to relocate if necessary.

Elysium RoM is a random map generator written in VB.Net and can be downloaded here:
Realmofwar.com

Custom scripts can be written to expand the number of available map types. The scripting guide / reference can be viewed at the following link:

From the included help file:

Elysium ROM:
************
-Set the desired map size and number of players.
-Select a script and a random seed. (The seed can be a number or a string.)
-Check the "Rnd" box to have the application generate a random seed.
-Be sure to have "Fixed" checked if you want Elysium ROM to set fixed starting locations.
-When you are ready, click "Run Script\".
-If you are satisfied with the generated map, click "Save As" to save it in your CoE3 maps directory.
(for example: on my Win7 system the path is: C:\Users\Ballbarian\AppData\Roaming\coe3\maps )
-Run CoE3, select "Start New Game", select "Load Map" and choose your new map from the list.

Note: By default, map file names are saved with r_MapSize_ScriptName_Seed.coem.

For the adventurous:

You can write your own random map scripts with any text editor. See existing scripts for examples.

Excellent.
It looks familiar (from my BBS days)

This will be handy for creating other 3rd party generators to create random scenario maps (since CoE3 doesnt have a generate&save like Dom3 had)
