245 million years of evolution collide when a starship crashes, releasing hoards of furious Jurassic beasts into the parks, sewers and streets. Eradicate the escaped carnivores or play the dinosaur and stomp, claw and bite your way to freedom.
Interesting idea but bad execution sadly. Pros are some good sound and music the few dinosaurs included look pretty good and the serious sam engine looks really good for its time. Some levels have a really good atmosphere. When the game actually comes together and works it feels like a mix of Alien vs predator and serious sam.
Cons are bad gameplay really boring levels not enough dinosaurs really repetitive gameplay really bad AI for both dinosaurs and the agents. Very few weapons and both campaigns are really shallow and short. And sadly we really can not mod the game :/
The design of dinosaurs, humans, weapons, sounds, ambience and levels are fine. The story is interesting too. It is cool that you can choose to play as agent or dinosaur but it feels so basic, like it needs more features to make the game more interesting. The artificial intelligence is poor and sometimes glitchy, it does not present any challenge, which makes it very easy to kill enemies and it can bore you. With the exception of a few levels, the gameplay feels very linear and offers little change throughout the game.
Definitely the worst out of the whole Carnivores Series, this feels like a budget Aliens versus Predator (the FPS Game by Rebellion).
