Budu is pure strategy. You gain no power, you don't level up. You only gain options. You have to ponderate those options to overcome increasingly difficult turn based combats against orcs, elves, kobolds, etc. In contrast with other turn based strategy games, in Budu you are one character, not a group of units. Along with combat, an equally important part of this game is the crafting and equipping mechanic. 12 different ingredients can be combined in groups of 3 to produce magical stones (the order in which you combine the ingredients matters). The stones change your attributes and are your main way of customization. You can only have 3 stones equipped though, and there are no stones intrinsically better or worse than others. You also have special abilities, which can be more or less powerfull depending on certain attributes.
