History
We grew up playing adventure and platforming games on the N64 and for a few years before starting Blue Fire we had this itch to play a game similar to the ones we played as kids, except with a different feel, kind of as if the game genre had also grown with us. Even with the resurgence of 3D Platformers in the last years, most of these titles focused on colorful and happy themes drawing from the late 90’s genre. We wanted the 3D platformer nintendo-like genre but way darker and a lot more challenging, with complex and very fast mechanics.
So when we first sat down to discuss Blue Fire, we knew we wanted to make an adventure platformer that felt like home yet had something unique and modern about it, set in a dark intriguing fantasy world to get lost and daydream in.
