Description

Working on the marksman got me into refining the deflections of projectile interactions. Before this the amount of deflection was determined entirely by the material that was hit. Now it will also take properties of the projectile into account. Soft projectiles will bleed some energy by deforming before they are deflected, thus the deflection will be smaller. I will try to make this a significant factor to consider when firing through windows with the marksman.

In this animation the trajectory of the marksman's projectile is flattened along the ground as it hits - this is only possible because the projectile deforms. If it couldn't deform it would have bounced up and out at the opposite angle.
