I've been working on a new way to render wounds. It was in part to enable rendering dynamic blood on body parts like shown in this gif. This is the very first output. Next I need to optimize it.

Yep it will be in the next update unless something very unexpected happens. I have some more stuff to do before I can release but it should probably be today or tomorrow.

I think I've figured out a solution to the performance problem that stopped me this past weekend. I need to implement it. The current estimate would be the coming weekend. (I'm on my day job on the office days.)
