In a perfect world, people wouldn't need gods. But perfect worlds can't exist and sooner or later someone, in trouble, desperate, will pray to the heavens. This is what happens in the beginning of Black & White.

This movie only plays once when you start the game for the first time. If players want to see it again, they need to set the corresponding Windows Registry entry to 0 again. It can be found in the game's folder (pre_intro.bik) but requires „RADTools" to play.
