Copy the files in the Objects_server folder to Objects_server.zip in your mod location
Example :
C:\Program Files (x86)\EA Games\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\Objects_server.zip

You can use any sound effect on them for any weapon you want

Example: I will put the sound effect of the ak74m into the ak101 thats is in the MEC team
Open Objects_server and go to Weapons\Handheld\
Now you will see all the weapons present in the vanilla game
Now open the RURIF_AK101 file and you will see a file named RURIF_AK101.tweak
Open the tweak file with notepad or notepad++
Now go to the line where you will find muzz flash

Replace the sound effect you want next to the line with ObjectTemplate.addTemplate..
Now save the file and enter the game and you will hear the sound of distant weapons!
Note: You must do these steps every time for each weapon
