Thanks for the map port from PoE, unfortunately it crashes. I've changed the graphic settings from hight to medium with various tweaks, but every time it crashes before completely loading.

I would love to see more PoE maps converted. :)

hm?? First time i heard that. Maybe, just remove the vehicle folder from the Objects_server.zip.
Do you know the old trick: start Bf2 in windowed mod, and in many cases it will show the error message and whats the prob.

I re downloaded the file and reinstalled it and it fixed the issue. so now all three maps are playable :) Yeahhhh!

Thanks for replying.

I've been working through around 800+ maps that I have installed for single player. Starting from the numbers then on to the A's, B's etc. I'm presently on J. Of the ones I've loaded around 60 have crashed either during loading, or when I click play out of almost 400 maps I've tried so far plus about 20 have loaded, but I've been unable to spawn. I've tested most on high settings, but I found that often I'd get glitches where it looked like the resolution had been changes so everything looked twice as large and clicking on a map would actually start a different one, and sometimes when on high the ground textures would be missing so I moved down to medium, which has fixed both those issues. I intend testing them all on low as well. I never thought to play in windowed mode so as to be able to see any errors, however, that has reminded me that they would also show up in the event logs, which I'll be checking from now on. In fact I'll keep the event viewer open on one of my monitors so if a game crashes I should see any error messages there.

Again thanks for the suggestion, its helped and was appreciated.

Hi again, ah yes, I downloaded the mod a few weeks ago, but I haven't installed it yet. When I got back into playing BF2 recently I accidentally dropped an external drive that had around 1TB of Battlefield maps and mods backed up on it, now the drive is inaccessible. I'd not played BF2 regularly for almost 10 years, but I've got fed up of the more recent FPS games so decided to play BF2 again and it really hit me how much I'd missed the game. Anyway, I wanted to replace as many of the lost maps and mods as I could so for the past month I've been slowly downloading anything that appeals to me. I'm also intending to create some maps and get into navmeshing. Once I've finished a project I'm working on at the moment I'm going to head over to the single player forums to check out the navmeshing and attempt to navmesh one of the old multiplayer maps that has never been navmeshed for example Fast and Furious or Assault at Waalwijk Island. I've been wanting to do that for years, but life and other stuff has always got in the way. I think navmeshing a map first would guive me a better insight on creating maps that will be easier to navmesh.

I spent a whole two week vacation designing about 12 maps, spending around 50 hours trying to balance them etc and which I passed on the Hayabusa when I used to beta test for him, but it was at a time when he was losing interest in mapping and never made any of the maps . (He did like a lot of the designs and suggested that I do it). One map was linked to a map Rodolfo created called Stalingrad, which has always been one of my favorite maps ever since it was released in BF1942. I especially like the 64 player version, which unfortunately isn't available in the Stalingrad Snow modification. So... I designed a map based on the film 'Enemy at the Gates' that links in nicely with Rodolfos and Hayabusas version of Stalingrad. I watched the film several times trying to re create the layout with sniper positions, the hole in the factory wall, the rail year and down to the Volga

Sorry, I'm waffling. That's the opiates i have to take. They always give me a loose head, lol.

sure, welcome. 800 maps, that's a number :()

What's the event viewer, never heard about that?

Generals:
Fhpubforum.warumdarum.de

CTD after pressing start:
-kits and solider issues
-ai strategy <-> gamemods is bugged or inconsistent
-HUD files are bugged
on server
-network cable issue

Navermesher and mapmakers most welcome here. Only a few want to do the job. :D

Got some edited hajabusa maps and Stalingrad snow in BF2all MOD.
