I did not get any errors; I just could not spawn. I made a bf4_assault_soldier under soldiers (tweak and .com). I also made a bf4_assault_soldier under kits.
As an example from other skins, usually, I can write something like this:
gameLogic.setKit 1 0 "Spetsnaz_Specops_Special" "bf3_ru_recon_soldier"
gameLogic.setKit 2 0 "MOH_EU_Specops_Special" "MOH_EU_specops_soldier"
or:
