The hunter looks appropriate, as for the mercs they also look OK, perhaps more gruff looking, torn clothes, cuts and bruises. Religious nut you could maybe spruce up with more detail(by the way, why does he look like a KKK member?) the wastelanders look too mean or aggresive.
the only thing that is less on the religious nut are the smileys...

Not all wastelanders you meet will be friendly. As for mercenary design, there will be a lot more, some of them will look real freaky! Thanks for the criticism!
