New Developments
Assault Knight weapon and vehicle engineers have been developing designs on eight new frontline battle tanks and eleven new defensive turrets. The engineers are still looking for more pilots to test the new designs. However, our enemies seem to be developing as well… battlefield reports indicate three to six previously unidentified Omni tanks.

Fire Bird Industries, a company based on Atlas best known for its missiles, has developed an experimental method for creating hotter explosions. They are currently testing the method in aircraft bombs. They hope that the bombs will be hot enough to affect a mech’s core temperature putting greater strain on the heat sinks in a combat situation.

Gates computing has fixed a glitch in their targeting computers most commonly used on mechs. This problem, located in a .bll file, caused some of the weapons to not aim correctly to the targeting reticule. The company has promised to pay damages to all families that lost a member due to this glitch. They also have issued a recall on their Micro brand mech simulators, due to a software glitch that would cause the simulator to crash, usually when you start a session but the server is not yet online. The game would also frequently crash when overlooking vistas. Deeming it cheaper than fixing their new system they are offering free upgrades of the old “Granny Smith” system which was always considered a more stable platform.

An Assault Knight training field known as Shooting Range has gone quiet. Supposed eyewitnesses claim to have seen an Omni ship heading toward planet Draco where the base is located from one of the lesser used jump points. Assault Knights command has sent several military craft to the system, but has declined to comment.

On a lighter note, xenobotanists have identified fifteen new varieties of pine trees.Remember, the Assault Knights are always looking for new pilots. Recruits should sign up at Assaultknights.net
