Allow me to briefly tell you the story of a French developer of an independent video game, a very colourful metroidvania, which is soon to be released.
Once upon a time there was a young developer who, at the start of this story, was 16 years old. He was coding a small, unambitious black and white platformer to keep himself busy. But one day, for no apparent reason, this developer decided to transform it into a metroidvania that was much bigger, more colourful and more ambitious than the initial project.
He threw himself wholeheartedly into this new task and created 8 zones with drastically different visuals and mechanics, to be explored by unlocking powers. Now, in July 2023, this project will be released. Its name is Absurdus.
Absurdus is a colourful metroidvania with 8 zones featuring a variety of mechanics and unique visuals. Easy to get to grips with, players can lose themselves in platform gameplay that grows in complexity as the game progresses, with the help of newly acquired powers that are used to access new areas.
