Description
A non-linear action RPG with a focus on adventuring and exploration. Discover an expansive world full of history, battle and outwit fearsome enemies and exploit their weaknesses, and earn the title of a renowned hero. You begin as an aspiring adventurer, visiting a remote village in need of a hero. Their lands have been overrun by wild beasts, not knowing of the great evil building beneath them. Defeating this evil will take you farther than you ever expected, on a journey across the land where you will discover the hero inside yourself, and become a great hero whose name will never be forgotten.
History
In my childhood, I lived in a rural area and went exploring a lot. Early on, I would fashion a sword out of a stick and whack weeds and trees, pretending I was a knight defeating evil monsters. In my later years, I would craft fine blades from scrap wood and duct tape, shaping it with some coarse sandpaper. My friends and I would quest and battle for days.
Getting older, I longed to relive those memories, and so I set out to do so by making a video game based on those memories. In 2010, I challenged myself to create a prototype in 24 hours. Each hour had a goal associated with it, and I'd work an hour at a time, 1-2 hours per night, for 24 total hours. During the challenge I fell in love with the simplicity of the game and decided to turn it into a full fledged game.
