3089 is a futuristic, procedurally generated, open-world action role-playing game. All terrain, enemies, weapons, items, quests & more are uniquely generated. You are a promising robotic android design, made by the Overlord, placed on planet Xax. Your performance in common combat, support & intel scenarios is being closely watched. However, will you become too much for them to handle? What else on planet Xax exists that the Overlord doesn’t know about?

I don't know if it's just my game generating bad quests but every single quest I get that is over 4 skill points in rewards requires either spying on somebody, planting a bug or stealthily disarming a bomb. My character build is strictly for guns, made for frontal assaults and taking cover when outnumbered. It would be nice to have more quests that reward this kind of build.

Quest task generation is completely random... there are leader kill tasks, group kill tasks, regular kill tasks, getting an item from a robot task (where you can kill or steal)... what kind of new tasks would you like to see?

Not really new tasks but I keep getting the short end of the stick with quest generation lol pretty much every quest over 4 skill points in rewards has at least one stealth quest

I would love to see some "skill" quests - not so much taking an objective but testing the player's skill, or their skill with certain gear. One example would be "sniper targets", you have to go to a certain area and then a bunch of "dummy targets" spawn and buzz around you. You have to snipe them or else have a really high homing stat, otherwise it's really difficult to hit them; but the misison warns you of this fact before you start. Another would be a "stealth training", you have cameras/turrets with a fixed FoV that is somehow visible (e.g. lines on the floor showing the limits) and you have to get through this "obstacle course" without being detected; there are items to pick up along the way and there's a timer you have to beat starting from when you pick up the first item.

The ideas are a bit convoluted, but what I'm getting at are the kind of "training missions" you get in a lot of other FPS games - the ones designed to ease you into the way the waepons and skills work. Sometimes the randomly generated quests just will not give you a good option; and it can be a PITA to do some kinds of quests if you're in a certain region - a big one would be bug planting in a flat area or spying in an extremely hilly area; but mostly these missions are difficult because there's no intuitive way to see how to beat them. Of course creative tactics are supposed to be the aim, but there's no real way to safely test them.

In other words, I guess I'm suggesting semi-scripted quests as part of the storyline; for example the bosses could be different (one is a tank you need to chip away at, one has massive weapons but is slow, one is stealthy but weak, one has long range etc.) or there could be different kinds of temples like "firing ranges", obstacle courses, parkour/tightrope puzzles etc. which require a specific skillset to master. Not as in you need to put X amount of points into a character skill to beat them, but as a player you have to be able to jump, dodge, kite, sneak etc.

I am a assault tanker (High health/High combat) and what I would love to see is different quest nodes. I.e. if your gun skill is 15, you can get into a special gun quest node and do quests that involve fighting large numbers of robots and such.

I would like to see "Themed" quest giving boxes. A gun themed quest giver would always put at least one "destroy X" in each mission, a stealth themed quest giver would always have at least one "Do not get detected" objective, etc. Then a player could find quest givers more likely to suit his playstyle while not sacrificing the random element.

It would also make maxing out the quests on a given box more rewarding.
