3079 is a futuristic, open-world action first-person role playing game. You arrive on a planet experiencing constant war. It is your duty to find out why the warring factions cannot find peace on their own & hopefully restore it yourself. All areas, buildings, items, quests and characters are randomly generated. You will find unique lands & challenges. I hope you enjoy it! "Just want to say again that this is a great game! For those of you who feel like its a minecraft copy just beacuse of the cube textures used you really need to rethink what a game is about! The game play of 3079 is nothing like minecraft it is pretty unique as well as how the weapons all have diffrent stats and colors kind of reminds me of Borderlands. However it is still an original idea for a game and i still play it from time to time. You should at least try the demo and if you like it please buy it and support fruit! :D Still give it a 9/10 ! 3079 is in "maintenance" mode where only major bugs will be fixed. I am spending most of my development time on new projects!

There are currently no known significant bugs in v2.19.

Turrets in the construction tool will be in the next release ?

Feb 15 2012 Anchor

Not in the v2.8.x release... I found too many bugs that needed fixing, like the multiplayer chunk bug and AI. The turrets will take a few days, at least, to get done, so I don't want to delay the upcoming one any more. Turrets will likely be in the next update, hang in there :)

Since yesterday i try to play on a server ,but i'm always "disconnected by Server"or I have the multiplayer chunk bug.
So i wait the next release with impatience !

Feb 16 2012 Anchor

Yup, that is the multiplayer chunk bug causing hangs and disconnects. I'm hoping to have the next release out in 2-3 days tops, since a few other things are coming together for it. The multiplayer should "just work" in this coming version. :)

hey phr00t i know i shouldnt post stuff like this but where can i find about servers for this game ? its boring to play alone.

There is a multiplayer thread group in this very forum:

Indiedb.com

However, the current version, v2.7.9b, has a chunk problem that only appears after a server runs for awhile (which is why it wasn't detected earlier). I have it fixed in my development version which should be released in the next 2-3 days, but you won't really get any "reliable" multiplayer experience until this update is out. :|

This thread si just for the 2.8.13b or for all of the update ?
And can you post a screen of the new stuff please ?
Thanks

Feb 21 2012 Anchor

I updated the main post! You can see the new stuff in the trailer and screenshots!

I see the line : Mini-fighter "work in progress"

J*zz everywhere !!

<---- hands you a napkin

Thanks but not being enough

You've said in an other thread :

'HOWEVER, BIG STUFF IS COMING FOR 3079 NEXT WEEK! This event may delay the next version by a few days, but it will be totally worth it'

But one week isn't too short ?

In the future updates, will you add more settings to improve performance?

Feb 24 2012 Anchor

I was going to delay the update to get in mini-fighters, but there are lots of things that I have done that I'd like to get out now. No mini-fighters yet, but the complexes are in, new textures and some bug fixes that I think are important.

What kind of performance problems are you having? I'd like to find out the things that hurt performance the most, and then touch up those.

Feb 24 2012 Anchor

I'm so pumped for the next update. X3

Feb 24 2012 Anchor

Whenever I look straight into the terrain, my performance slows down by a lot.
If I look up or down, my performance is smooth.
I suggest the game should have options that renders the distance and disable animations.

Yes I agree with you

Feb 25 2012 Anchor

FancyCocaine, what kind of graphics card do you have? I really would like to improve performance without having to cut drawing distance..

Feb 25 2012 Anchor

Intel(R) HD Graphics

Feb 25 2012 Anchor

Ahhh, the dreaded Intel HD card... :-( those are generally too slow for my game, but I'm going to see if I can improve the game's performance any...

Feb 29 2012 Anchor

Intel HD card is weird man :/ i walk slowly buy all the things like camo, steal fro behind, talk to vendor works the split second after click the button and the slow walking goes away in fully enclosed areas or when looking down so i feel its an issue with rendering

Feb 29 2012 Anchor

It is an issue with rendering. Intel HD cards don't support many polygons, so I found a way to significantly reduce the number of polygons in my terrain without reducing draw distance. I've also added an option to further reduce polygon count, but you may briefly see invisible terrain spots. This will be in the next update, which should be this weekend!

Yay!
Can't wait to play the game without moving so slow. :D

Oh man. This game is looking more epic everyday. I play it during loads and cinematics of AAA games.

What will be the utility of the traps ?
