3079 is a futuristic, open-world action first-person role playing game. You arrive on a planet experiencing constant war. It is your duty to find out why the warring factions cannot find peace on their own & hopefully restore it yourself. All areas, buildings, items, quests and characters are randomly generated. You will find unique lands & challenges. I hope you enjoy it! "Just want to say again that this is a great game! For those of you who feel like its a minecraft copy just beacuse of the cube textures used you really need to rethink what a game is about! The game play of 3079 is nothing like minecraft it is pretty unique as well as how the weapons all have diffrent stats and colors kind of reminds me of Borderlands. However it is still an original idea for a game and i still play it from time to time. You should at least try the demo and if you like it please buy it and support fruit! :D Still give it a 9/10 ! 3079 is being updated to v2.6b! I have uploaded it to Desura, so hopefully it will be authorized soon!

Updates include more fortress blocks, smoother animations and fixes to the demo (sorry all, I didn't notice how terribly short it was for some people due to a bug! Hopefully this has been addressed). Lots of other smaller improves too, of course :)

Here are the complete list of changes:

* More fortress building blocks implemented: storage, traps and "home" blocks
* Fixed animations to be much smoother and natural
* Fixed Demo length bugs that caused the demo to end much sooner than it should in some situations
* Fixed a bug that allowed quests to succeed when killing non-quest targets
* "Getting stuck in other characters" bug should be fixed
* Distant sounds should be more quiet* Lighting improvements: more accurate, faster & less resource intensive
* Added a limit to using recharging stations* Improved placement accuracy in building / construction
* Changing construction modes no longer spams message area
* Updated jMonkeyEngine which should improve reliability & performance

Next on the list to tackle? Probably dedicated servers, turret building, music & more sound effects!

Great, thanks for your support :-)

Does that "getting stuck in other players" bug also fix the sounds? No matter where i go all i hear is the constant spam of walking over and over from npcs stuck in something. It sounds like extremely fast rain and is quite annoying.

Does the Desura client auto-update the game?

if not how do we update? o.0

Blackop2, it should, I hope. However, if the characters are getting stuck in terrain, that'd be another bug I need to fix (that could cause the annoying sound).

freddy705, the client should notify you when the update is available and tell you how it updates.
