“1953 – KGB Unleashed” is based on real projects conducted by the Ministry of State Security of the USSR (the former KGB). During that time they pushed the limits of human endurance, testing for the possibility of telepathy, as well as researching the psychological impact of fear on the human brain. The photo-realistic visual style of “1953 – KGB Unleashed” recreates the USSR of the fifties: the underground shelter’s interior is constructed using real Soviet military plans, and the materials found there are based on historicaly valid documents.
Explore a hidden laboratory where such experiments were conducted in order to learn the truth behind the terrifying events that led to the closure of the project and the liquidation of its staff. An atmosphere of isolation and suspense pervades throughout, bringing you face to face with your own fears, while the voice of invisible “observer” broadcasts over the internal communications system.
Is this observer a friend, or an enemy? Your exploration of this perfectly-preserved complex may uncover what these experiments unlocked deep within the human psyche — but will you survive these revelations intact?

A cool little game, I like it when the horror is brought in through the subtext rather than being overtly obvious. Inspired by the likes of Myst with a Scratches horror twist, I'd probably recommend it. Nice job chaps.
This seems amazing. Think i am going to buy it. BUT i still got the Myst 3 ,4,5 and URU. Hope i will get this game.
Yawn, how interesting...heres a better subject for your next game, more recent too: http://www.wanttoknow.info/cia_mind_control_secret_experiments
Erm.... How did you even manage to get the soviet military to give you the plans to one of there bunkers?
A large number of KGB documents were declassified in 2009 by Ukraine.

Other documents have been declassified or leaked over time as well.
20 bucks is not much why are u guys whining
because a high price has to justify a good game, and there are some here that do.
but this, no. there are not many reviews out there but those available dont give it a good score. http://www.gamefaqs.com/pc/676616-1953-kgb-unleashed/critic , 20 euro for a game that can be played in 3 hours? there is so much better.
3 howers if you watch a walkthrough or something, otherwise some of the puzzles are very hard to figure out and would take you probably 3 times more time.
Well the AGs reviewer gives it 6-8 hours, and 3.5 / 5 is pretty good.
I am from Russia, and i think this game not so dusty. But KGB...I don"t think it's a good topic for a game.
then you never heard of kgb conspiracy.
