0 A.D. is a free, open-source, cross-platform real-time strategy (RTS) game of ancient warfare. It's a historically-based war/economy game that allows players to relive or rewrite the history of twelve ancient civilizations, from Iberia to Mauryan India, each depicted at their peak of economic growth and military prowess. Developed using Pyrogenesis, a ground-breaking new game engine custom-built to suit this project, 0 A.D. will give players a rich and entertaining real-time gaming experience.
The 3rd, or 'Elite', rank of the Egyptian Pikeman citizen-soldier. He wears a scale-reinforced linothorax for body armor and wears a Hellenistic variation of the Thracian helmet popular for this time period. His shield has various Hellenistic and Egyptian motifs emblazoned on it.
As with all pikemen, the range of his melee attack is longer than other melee infantry. His attack strength is not high, but his armor values are, making him a tough front-line unit that helps pin enemy infantry and acts as a great meat shield.
