Hello!
I wanted to try out some mods for HL2 E2 and downloaded Research and Development from this website
How I have installed the mod:
I made sure I had HL2 E2 and HL2 installed on my computer.
I have installed the Source SDK Base 2013 Singleplayer tool and have set the Beta option to "upcoming" and then test started it. No problems there.
I then copy and pasted the R&D file to Steam/Steamapps/common/SourceMods and I made sure it was on the same drive as the main games.
I restarted Steam and then located R&D in my steam library
When I try to start the mod this error message appears: Imgur.com(Picture taken from someone elses post but still same message)
What am I doing wrong? Every single "solution" I have found has not helped including:
Lambdageneration.com
Steamcommunity.com
Verifying Intergrity of every single Game/Tool cache that might be involved
Reinstalling E2
Installing E1
Installing earlier versions of Source SDK
Installing the Patch that the R&D creator made.
Testing the different solutions the README.txt document said that was included in said Patch.
I have a sneaking suspicion that the mod might not understand that I have E2 installed but everything is where it should be, correct drive and everything. I have even tried to reinstall everything but that did not work either.
Help much appreciated
