Making Mech Override - Proposal to Mod Teams | Locked | |

No, this is not what you might think, I'm not throwing the towel and try to pass responsibility to another person, but I had to reconsider my precious film-project Mech Override and think about what's best for the modfilm. I admit, I went blue-eyishly into modding and hoped it would all be so simple, once we have a team. Well, we have a team for a while now, but the task is far too large for it. Even though we have 21 people on the team we just can't pull this off alone, because half of our development goes into visuals and demands people from film and vfx departments to be on the team. So actually a dozen of us doesn't know a thing about modding and I'm only slowly catching up. The thing is, I can't manage a much larger team on the current basis, because I wouldn't know how to cordinate their work any more. It's already difficult to get everybody employed and see results coming in, as some parts of the work always gets delayed. I figure to have two teams will increase the probability of at least one of them being productive at a time and giving an incense (and new WIP) to people from the other team. Another cool thing is that our team could produce the cutscenes for the game you're making, so we can actually see fruits of both our teams at work in one product. I want to successfully create this film and to carry on developing and learn new skills. It's difficult for me, because I am old and have a job, but you can trust me in so far, as I won't drop the project before I'm dead and I won't stop struggling to stay creative myself. I also want my team to have confidence in themselves and be proud of their work and that there is no need for disappointment. It's not so much failure I'm concerned with. It's about letting slip the opportunity of creating something beautiful and completely new for an unexpecting audience. So, if you are a mod leader and have the skills to build a team of your own you should think about this opportunity. I won't be taking anything away from your team, but you'll be getting a lot from us, instead. Modellers, e.g. can work on either project, since they will mostly use the same assets. Requirements are that you are or were a mod-leader and have either started a project, which didn't work out in the end (I'll have to judge the quality) or already have a finished a mod with your team. This is our ModdB-Profile:https://www.moddb.com/mods/mechoverride If you are otherwise interested in Mech Override - we need mappers, mappers, mappers and could use another concept artist, too. Consider this proposal well. It is as unique as the project behind it and together we stand a much better choice of pulling it off! Regards, not really happy about showing that many WIP shots, but here you go: |
