I posted an addon but forgot to add the game and now I can't seem to fix it when I go back to edit it.

Hey there,

Which addon is it, could you please share a link to it?

Sure thing, it's Moddb.com

If you've created a game profile that you want the add on related to, share the game profile here and I can change it for you.

You can add a game profile here - Moddb.com

Once you've made that, you can add addons to that game.

The game profile already exists. It's Half-Life. Moddb.com

Oct 13 2020 Anchor

You've posted the add-on to your mod profile, which is currently associated with Half-Life as a mod for the game.

I know, but that's only an indirect association, which isn't what I'm looking for.

Oct 14 2020 Anchor

Ok might be not understanding exactly what you want sorry!

The more direct way to relate your mod or add on to a game is by adding it directly like here - Moddb.com

Otherwise not sure how else you want your mod linked to the game, as your mod profile already is.

What I mean is I would like for the file to appear in the game's file tab as well as the mod's.

Which it doesn't as far as I'm aware.

I guess that's not gonna happen then. Alright, that's fair enough. I was just asking. Doesn't matter. Forget about it. You've probably got more important things to do anyway.

Oct 18 2020 Anchor

You can do that! It just needs to be done manually, won't be atomically added when you add it to your own mod profile. Just upload your mod at the files tab section of the Half-Life profile here - Moddb.com

Or there is the add ons tab section too if you think that'd be a better fit.

Isn't that basically just reuploading it?

Oct 20 2020 Anchor

Yes it is. We recommend users create their own profiles for a mod if it is a big project, otherwise post it as an add on for a game on the game's profile preferably. That's the systems we currently have in place.

Well okay, I tried it but it's still not showing up in the file list :/

Oct 22 2020 Anchor

Actually rethinking about it, by having a mod profile that is associated with Half Life, any files you post to your profile automatically appear on the game profile's files (likewise with articles), which you can see here - Moddb.com

So you don't need to reupload sorry!

It's not coming up for me, it doesn't appear on the list or when i search for it. Is it my browser cache or something?

Oct 28 2020 Anchor

Maybe, have you tried viewing it on different browsers? As it comes up for me.

Yep, I've checked in Firefox and Opera.

Not sure then sorry, that's really odd!
