Hi.

Many players of EAW complains about vanilla hero system, when enemy heroes, died in battle, resurrects after a some time. It causes situations, when a lot of powerful enemy heroes in a one stack attacking you planet in overwhelming strike, and due to heroes resurrection, this happens again, again and again. Just imagine: you just defended you own planet wth high cost against Vader's Executor and, after few times, he appears again! A very irritating situation! To fix this, some mods give mortality to heroes, but it causes reverse effect: due lack of control skill you can loose all you heroes. And AI, even in mods, has lack of brains to use heroes more effectively. That's why, in my mod, I want to add new, more balanced system which replaces all most powerful hero ships with upgrades and separates all heroes to two categories:

Main heroes: due the plot armor, resurrects like vanilla, but loose all bought upgrades (ships, vehicles, etc.)

Secondary heroes(aka Mercenaries): have all upgrades by default, but each time after die, player(and AI) must buy them in the mercenary tab, like in multiplayer skirmish.

I'm interested, how much is possible to realise it in EAW FOC.
