Its been some time since Max Gaming revisited the Mech space with its last game Lore Aftermath. With the hopeful resurgence of mech games we are going to throw our hat back in the ring with Dark Horizons: Mechanized Assault Vehicle (Playmech.com). Taking our persistence engine we developed for the 2005 IGf finalist Dark Horizons: Lore and combining it with the gameplay of Aftermath we hope to bring a compelling product to the scene that will be enjoyably to all.

Current status of the game is that we are in a closed testing phase of the combat gameplay. This version of the game is using the old engine for Lore: Aftermath and should work on most PC systems. As we tune gameplay we are working on two other areas:

- Adding in the persistent game verse
- Upgrading the engine to a new version which will improve the visuals and physics of the game.

With all that said we have always valued gameplay over anything else, So we are currently recruiting for closed alpha testers. Note the following about the alpha test:

- Its combat gameplay only, no persistence in the current build.
- There is no NDA, you are free to share information about the game, screenshots of the beta etc...
- There is no limit on how many people we will let into the testing program.
- We are looking for people who want to have some fun, and want to provide feedback to a in development game.

With all this said, our master server and dedicated testing servers will be up 24 hours a day. You can expect updates every 1-2 weeks.
