I have a list of missiong cameos in my mod, but the file is at my computer at home, and i'm currently at school. So i can't give the list.

I can't see your files like this man. Google drive don't have a public downloader afaik, so upload it to mediafire, dropbox, yandex.disk or something like that.

Better than nothing, but using Faction name on cameo isn't really a good idea. So write Propaganda Tower instead. If you make no text or even no glass effect version and give me that files i can write what i want on them. Also try to use BGs that matches others soviets has snowy BGs for cameos.

new to modding, do i copy paste the files into red alert folder? i've done that and it crashes when i play skirmish. shoul i download the 2.0 cncd2k?
Every version should directly work without any older one. Just coping files is what you should do but you should run game using RunAres.bat not GameMD.exe or Yuri.exe.

Copy everything in archive to your Yuri's Revenge folder. Run RunAres.bat to start the game in every launch, not orginal GameMD.exe or Yuri.exe. Your YR should be patched to 1.001 and be sure Your Anti-Virus doesn't block anything about the mod because Ares.dll and Syringe.exe is seen as Virus by some of them.
Hey Mr B again - regarding about YR maps in 2.8.5 thread -
I think the problem is that there are modded units, eg: Gatling gun with super range, polar bears are trainable, etc and I think I realised that when the enemy training Tanya, it crashes, (tried as well, same with spies, because Tanya Adams has some sort of dolphin ability lol)
Had gotten the map from YR CNCnet so not much that can be done....
Did you run a original game or runares.bat?
He is talking about a map. Nothing to do with the Ares.dll.
What's the name of the Map. I can take a look to it as i have YR CnCNet installed on my second computer(win 7 one).

The map is called Ore Gardens (2-8)
Love playing on it with skirmish, like I said it works for a couple minutes then crashes....

Wierd, i couldn't find the map. It only shows original maps from YR to me in CnCNet. At best you should send me the map. As it is possibly a custom map it should be in YRCnCNet Folder>Maps>Custom
I think it is a custom map,
It has random letters and numbers along with the rest of the cncnet maps, how do I differentiate the map I'm looking for from the rest of them... They are in .yrm or .map format
Yet when I play they come in game as the title Eg: Ore Gardens (2-8)

I have no maps under custom. You can open them with notepad and find the name under [Basic]>Name= to understand which map is Ore Gardens. Than send it to me with Dropbox, Mediafire or something like that.

I found the problem a map specific unit has Strength=1. Strength shouldn't be below RepirStep= which is 8. I recommed you to open map with text editor, find it and change to Stength=10.
Ok no worries, I'll do it for all units below Strength=10 and let u know on what happens, had just turned off my computer and not rebooting it so I'll let you know next week

I've now realised that map has an edited RepairStep= vaule which is 400. Making Strength of a building to 400 doesn't sound good. So you need to make that building unrepairable which something that have 1 HP doesn't need. Make its Strenght back to 1 and add ClickRepairable=no to that building. (Soviet Demo Nuke)
I now realised that even some of my building have lower health than 400. (Fake buildings/Silos/Kennels). I'm gonna edit the map and include it in next version. So Don't worry about it.

I've also kept a few copies of the map, the original, a tweaked one for YR, and another for cncd2k, if u want to upload the map to a file sharer, that can be done aswell instead of having in your next version,
Either way I appreciate your help, one of the most genuine developers of a mod out there
Edit: yea I think it is other buildings with lower health, had one of the conscripts attack a kennel, repair and crashed
Also allied MCV has the same problem, and starts with no power for some reason
I've done so much fixing and i think it is done enough, so i can give the file to you but not now, i'm at school now. I'll give the edited map when i back about 4 hours later.

Just tried it, works great, doesn't crash
Although the genetic mutator, not in the original map, crashes the game when it is used, instead of brutes, t-Rex are mutated
Edit: crash either from coming back online from low power or with a gap generator in low power/activated
I will take a look to them again when i back home.
No worries, if you can't fix all the crashes, all is not loss, but thanks so much once again
Edit: EMPed myself, and as soon as base defences came back online, crash
I found 2 other things that has low health and i forgot to edit, flags and gates, flags are possibly the real problem there.

Also try Cuban Nuke Apocalypses their new weapon in this map is too funny.
Genetic Mutator has T-Rexes in intended, but i decrased the range in this revision.
I got another crash with same EIP after upload this. Couldn't look to what i forgot tho. I have to go to bed now so possibly tomorrow.

Allied Extra Airfield was the last problemic building i think. I think you can edit it yourself. I don't want to upload another one as i'll include it in next version. Add [GAAIRU] and Strength=500 under it. Location isn't important you can add this to anywhere of file.
Ok then! I'll fix the airstrip and see if it works, gonna download the above map, add GAAIRU and test it out.
What about the EIP crash?
EIP is a 8 char Hexadecimal code that says what is the reason of Crash, it is written in except.txt which created after chrash in your game folder. There is a list of known EIPs for YR in ModEnc: Modenc.renegadeprojects.com
Ah ok, so if it crashes next time, I can go look there and see what the crash is.
Hasn't crashed yet, which is a good sign, and I like the nuclear apocalypses, haha firing demo trucks

Yes it is not here. And this is a different EIP than older so reason of that one isn't Strength. I'll check other reasons, some tags under [General] and [CombatDamage] is unnecesarrily changed in map. I'll take a look when i back home.
OK, now there is how to get rid of all the Repair Crashes in one. Change RepairStep= under [General] to 80. And add RepairRate=.0016 and URepairRate=.0016. You may remove the IRepairStep as it might also cause crash if there would be a Tech Hospital in map. I gave this vaules to don't breake orginal maps balance. I checked units under Strength=80 they are unrepair/build/controlable.
