If you already had Vikingr 1.0 installed on your computer before the release of this fix in September 2013, you can download this small patch which contains only the files affected by it.

It's not a virus. You installed it wrong. Reinstall Warband to get your base game fixed, then reinstall Vikingr in a separate and completely independent folder. It's standalone.

Sorry for bothering, but i got M&B:W from Steam and my CDKey's got 24 characters (6 groups of 4 numbers) and when i try to play Vinkingr it asks me to put my product key but there's only space for 16 characters (4 groups of 4 numbers)... please help?
I tried the manual confirmation but's got the same problem...
Please, reply soon, if possible, this seem like a cool mod and i can't play because of this, thank you as of now.

You only need this if you want to patch up a previous version of Víkingr that was already installed on your computer. If you use the full install, you don't need this.

Hello. Every time i try to join a server where its players, it says i dont have the right version, any help?
Did you install it on its own folder, separate from the standard Warband folder? If you didn't, uninstall and try again.
