A little project I started a few months ago. Haven't done anything with UE1 in ages. Criticism and bug-reports are appreciated. I'll try and make a whole episode at some point.

What exactly is this?
It's a Singleplayer Campaign for Unreal
Thanks. I was about to install Unreal again, now i have another reason to do it.
This is ******* amazing. Far surpassed expectations. Difficulty isn't bs hard or too easy when played on Very Hard, levels are almost identical recreations and it looks great. Enemies are fun to fight as they were in normal DOOM as well. It's clear right from the start you know what you're doing. Not a gimmick, this is actually really enjoyable.
However, there's a massive glitch that makes enemies invisible when loaded from a quicksave. It's unplayable for the time being.
Thank you for your feedback. It is not necessary unplayable. You just can use the manual save/load atm. Loading the autosave from level beginning will work though. We already fixed an issue that caused the game to crash. Hopefully there will be a fix for the manual save/load in the future too.
Sorry typo "...You just can't use the manual save/load atm"
I played the Doom campaign in UT 2004 through a modded community where we could also play it with others on a sort of "Co-Op" mode. That also includes the original Unreal campaign (and its expansion pack). Hell, even Half Life in UT 2004, did the exact same thing.
I would certainly suggest to anyone thinking of downloading this to try it out: JUST DO IT. First doom with one of the first Unreal Engines is a great experience.
I googled "Half Life in UT 2004" and didn't find anything. Can you provide a link, please? If this is an actual thing, of course.
Over many years, much of the communities and their content I played on UT 2004 were either removed, lost or are very restrictive to various developers who worked on them back in the day or even players that somehow managed to keep them, but I doubt there's anybody left that's got them, now.
Enemies from Half Life, along with the Combine and such, were added in. You *might* be able to find a community online that still has that specific game mode for a "campaign" like match-up where it's essentially a Co-Op multiplayer mode.
Obtaining a link for it, especially in 2018, is next to impossible for full collections. I wouldn't know where to find it, but I know there is a website, somewhere on the web, that holds near enough all files publicly released for UT 2004. Simple google searches won't help, I did the same for ages.
It's definitely an actual thing, and it's understandable if some people don't (or won't) believe me until they see actual living proof is presented. Most of them were community-made, but we had everything to work with from working NPCs, working HL2 weapons, vehicles and even a storyline to escape a war-torn city and traverse dangerous outlands... very certain it isn't around anymore since time has moved on.
The best that can be said for you too do, is hunt for it.

Here, best I could find were the monster packs. I knew the guy (and played with him) who made this. His name is .:..:, or rather simply put, "dots". So this may help as this was a publicly released version for monsters, atleast. Weapons included and such.
I can't run the game.
Once everything was installed correctly, you will be able to choose the "Unreal vs Doom" from your in-game menu (Game -> New Game -> Campaign) - there is no such menus in Unreal Gold steam version.
Show me you path location of the .u and .int files.
hello, is there a way to play "Unreal vs Doom" in Unreal Tournament 1999 (with Oldskool Amp'd installed)? I'm trying but when I launch "UMDintro.unr" in "custom maps" menu (this is the only way I found to start the mod in UT), it gives me an error: the file for the packet "emitter" is missing.
I know it was done for Unreal Gold but It would be awesome to play it in UT
It's not Unreal Gold that is the problem, it's Unreal's 227 patch that adds many new features, which are exclusive, so you won't be able to launch that map in UT99, without removing the 227 actors manually.
Also sorry for the late response. I don't seem to get any notifications when there are new comments and the last comment was months ago, so I don't regularly check these sections anymore.

Thanks for your answer and for the explanation, now I understand why it didn't work. So I'll try to launch it in Unreal 227 :)
