Thanks for uploading ,Faberman.

Do you think this will be the final version of the FMV Pack ?

I might wait before playing through the game again if it's possible more updates might be coming through in the near future.

I realise it's not easy/not possible getting 100% perfect when upscaling.

If you think this is probably the best as is
then that's cool.

I think I can improve some of the videos a little bit, but it's simply impossible to restore and enhance something that doesn't exist (and I mean high frequency details and texture). The quality of the original videos is not consistent, that's why some of the upscaled videos look pretty good and others look no better than the original ones.

Faberman, you're the best! I've been looking forward to playing this game for years, and finally got around to buying it this evening. When I finally booted it up, I was only getting about 1 frame every 15 seconds on the intro FMV. Talk about being disappointed! Your mod (I downloaded all three parts) not only fixed my issue with video playback, but also dramatically improved the graphics throughout the game. Thanks so much for putting your time and effort into this mod!

Also, +1 for good installation instructions.

Could you also upscale the German FMVs? You get the German files here: Schote.biz

If you like me had problems with the 1080p videos being to cpu-heavy on your device, then get the 720p version that is found under 'files' on the top of this page..

I came here specifically to ask, because I'm a jug-head with most of these things; where Exactly do I place these Movie files? The HD patch is active and running via ScummVM.
I can follow the /path, in both the game directory & the TLJHD_FMV_1.1.zip to an /xarc directory. Do I unzipp the contents to that folder, or the TLJ game directory itself?
I realize that is exactly what the instructions say above, but I have to verify - plz.
Lastly I chose the 1080p download, well primarily because the native resolution for the couple of rigs I have here is 1920x1080. I do not know if that is correct. Help please.
Thank you so much. Better late than never, aye?

thank you so much for all your effort with TLJ
I found myself gripped by this tale almost 20yrs ago it seems, while traveling, and with a lap top. Runs so much better today.

I see you reinstalled this classic recently as well, this should help:

when you open the zip folder you can just drag the mods folder into the root directory of the longest journey. if it asks to overwrite, then you already have them added. dont forget you need to run ScummVM for the mods to work, see more in the main TLJHD mod

Just wanna say, I have spent months attempting to get video game cutscenes to upscale well in general and they are the biggest pain in the butt. Thank you for doing so damn well
