This mod differs from SWBF1 in only a couple ways: I stuck with the default implementation of SWBF2's heroes (kind of) and sadly I had no luck restoring the 1st person vehicle views. But I think that's pretty much it, as far as differences.
Install this mod like you would most others: just copy the three-letter 'SBF' folder into your game's 'addon' folder. If you're using my sound fixes/SWBF1 announcer VO, I recommend grabbing the latest version of the sound fixes and UNINSTALLING the announcer VO addon. It's included as a part of this mod.
Huge thanks to Marth for uploading SWBF1's sounds, Sylverium for the great idea, Anthony for scripting help and Pandemic for releasing the Battlefront 1&2 mod tools. I may add a 'Classic CW' era at some point, but this was a pretty massive undertaking... so no promises.
I find this mod's lack of comments disturbing. In this case, I guess I'll write the first comment.
I really liked the mod, it's polished and has the SWBF1 vibe with a few SWBF2 accents to it. If I were to make any suggestions, I'd ask to add compatibility to even more maps, including Marvel4's Conversion Pack or the Xbox DLC maps. Also, when it comes to heroes, in SWBF1 their mechanics were a bit "sloppy", and I'm wondering if it wouldn't be better to make them playable only by the AI. With that being said, I like that you tried to emulate how they worked originally and that now they can't spam lightsaber throw anymore. The mod is fun to play overall, the restored effects and sounds were really nice. I'm all in for adding the SWBF1 CW Era, and personally I think it might be interesting to have the SWBF1 gameplay with SWBF2's EP3 Clone models (it would also differentiate it further from the Classic Conquest mode from the classic SWBF1 Conversion Pack).
All in all, great job on the mod! Keep it up!
You forgot to add Hoth.
