Description
This is the Demo release of Sins of the Prophets. We have included in this demo release: A Charon-class light frigate in the TEC Frigates and a Halcyon-class cruiser in the TEC cap ships. These models, etc are NOT to be distributed without permission of the SOTP team. Period. This release is for Sins Entrenchment version 1.053. It will NOT work on Sins, Diplomacy, or Rebellion. This is in the form of an automatic installer. It will install the mod and set it as the only mod in the game.

This isnt working for me i am full up to date im using Gamestops purchased version and on windows 7 64-bit and when i search for the file in my start menu i cant find it
That would be because it's not gonna go in your start menu. Launch Sins, and the mod will be on

This is as Canada predicted, and I predicted, and pretty much everyone else predicted and said, but a demo was released, and guess what, predicted results were achieved.
Just like the week following the release of Mass Effect 3...
There was an actual legitimate reason for that though, the game was OK and the end was crap.

With all due respect, I did not want to release a demo/minimod in the first place. But Sloose offered to make it and it seemed like it would appease the masses.

why doesn't two units make a demo? Demo is short for demonstrations and wheter it is 2 or 200 new units it is still a demonstration of what is going to come in the full release.

okay so i downloaded/installed it and aside from pure shock and awe and marveling in sheer epicness i can barely see the particle effects, is this just temporary? cause i mean they are there, but barely.
It looks to me the only custom particle effects are the Shiva explosion and the exhaust effects, which are actually from SoGE. I wasn't responsible for any of this though, so don't quote me.

The ships do seem overpowered against the in game races. But that's just cause nothing can stand against the might of the halo machine.
