Try it again, i had a same speed too, but on second attempt i had 300 kB/s. ;-)
if you want some more speed in your dowload, when the white screen pops up, click in the right side, on the "mirror" button, then u can chose, u have several options whit diferent numbers of succsesfuls downloads

I have not had an issue with any viruses, not sure what the other fellas' issue is. Either way, this mod is really fun and I'm having a blast!

it seems neither starting from the launcher nor running the exe will launch the game. It just closes.

Maybe you are doing something wrong? I tested it on fresh Windows 7, 8.1, 10 and everything worked fine.
I don't know what I could be doing wrong. I am just pressing start game from the launcher.

It doesn't matter which version of the game you are using. Let's wait and see if somebody will have the same problem as you.
i think i have it, i was having the same problem then i opened the properties and something issued me, on the bottom side, u see a extra selection, unlock, idk why but is the only think i can find weird, and the same as mile, i can open the exe, i tried moving the archive to somewere else in the gamedata or anything, just that after "unlocking" its oppens a windows message every minute
WOOOPS, now that i have tried extract the archives of the exe its says that the file is damaged
maybe is just that the problem? idk
sorry for the inconveniences, THAT was super weird, i mean, i just let the computer do nothing and almost 5 minutes after its pops up whit the installer and i was like "DUDE wtf"
To begin, the presentation is perfect. The launcher and menu look GORGEOUS and, to my complete surprise, feel GOOD to click through. Most impressive. Oh, I also love that the settings provide the option to remove points--no more messing with the cluttered console commands; I wanted that for so long!
The skins, classes, and heroes are all well-implemented. I love the Hero Hunt mode, but I also wish for the classic Hero Assault to be on more maps.
The Sereja maps, however, are a bit disappointing. For the most part, the graphics seem worse and there's fewer units, less unique elements, and worse pathfinding. It feels great to actually be able to sprint through them, but the experience feels hollow.
I wonder: will the experience of making this mod lead to further improvements in The Ultimate Pack?
Updated to v1.2: Fixed issue when the game didn't start for some users. The mod must work perfectly now. Tested on Windows 7, 8.1 and 10. Sorry again.

Is there any way to play this on multiplayer? me and my brother just tried to play on LAN but couldn't find eachother and the menu says gamespy not galaxy like it usually would.

The mod works as a separate game, so Steam functionality doesn't work with it.

On which file do you have this warning? Or when?
From the .exe file that should install the mod
I don't know why this happens, my Windows Defender doesn't show this warning. The installer was made in Inno Setup and requires administrative privileges by default. Maybe you are running it as a regular user?
I tried with Run as Administrator but it gives me the same problem
I don't know how to help you. Ignore this warning or do not install the mod, it is your right.
I installed it anyway, if many users have commented with so much enthusiasm it means that there are no dangers. However, for any eventuality, if I wanted to uninstall the mod, is it sufficient to restart the .exe file?

Can you play online with friends?
I would believe you can, as long as they have the same game files. Speaking from experience, I've played multiplayer matches that have been modded before without a hitch. This includes any and all custom maps and gamemodes.
If you want to try and have the best outcome for MP games, make sure it's a fresh install or have a copy of a clean BF II folder and install the mod in there.
Just don't "over mod" yourself with far too many differing things that you're forced to reinstall.
