For DOOM3 Resurrection of Evil ROE Steam Version you are going to need BOTH
Doom 3 Super Allies
ROE Super Allies

--make a folder called "Super Allies" (no quotes " ") and put in contents of Doom 3 Super Allies PAK101.PK4 & ZAK101.PK4
--ROE Super Allies drag out PAK102.PK4 & ZAK102.PK4 put in d3xp

When you start the game LOAD MOD>Super Allies should be seen, load that for Doom 3
For Resurrection of Evil load Resurrection of Evil. The only difficulty available for either should be NIGHTMARE.
If you have other difficulty levels available you did it wrong.

--The marine(s) spawned will follow you around and may get in the way especially in very narrow corridors , keep that in mind, most of the time they will move but not always, I had to restore a save, however it happened only once.

Friendly fire IS a big concern, so either kill'em first/FAST or get out of the way, the marine will crouch and open fire, if you are in the way, tough cookies.

On the plus side if you open the door the marine will rush in if he detects baddies inside, and you can follow and light them up.
The BEST thing , magical monsters that suddenly want to appear from behind in an already cleared area, well the marine has your back.

SEMPER FI!!!

MIGHT, if possible consider a feature to teleport away (remove the marine ) if a stuck circumstance or in anticipation of using a grenade etc.

OK I figured out a way to get out of being stuck
Add a line binding the "noclip" console command

C:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\Doom 3\Super Allies\DoomConfig.cfg
open it with a text editor such as notepad or notepad++
add change keybindings to include this to the list:

bind "l" "noclip"

where "l" sets the character free to roam through objects and marines, hit that key it again to turn OFF "noclip"

Another key might be used instead of "l" if desired
