I originally made this to be implemented into the ZRP mod but the devs never decided to include it. I've completely revised the weapon hud placement for all of the vanilla guns as well as the placement of iron sights, shell ejections, and fire points. In the vanilla game, much of the positioning of these factors were off.
Installation:
Unzip gamedata into your stalker directory.
If you have not used mods before, you will need to open your fsgame.ltx file found in the "C:\Program Files (x86)\THQ\S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Shadow of Chernobyl" directory.
Open this file with a text editor and find the following line:
$game_data$ = false| true| $fs_root$| gamedata
Change the false to true, i.e.:
$game_data$ = true| true| $fs_root$| gamedata
work whit OL 3.1?
It would need to be merged.
Thanks for this mod dude. Now I can put a scope on and not have it cover a third of the screen. I wanted to ask if you changed any of the fire distances or bullet speeds. I noticed that a lot of the pistols had a fire distance of 50 and a silencer fire distance of 100. I have changed these things and wanted to know if you would like a copy to look over and merge if you like the change. I don't want to upload it since it's just a few changes. Also changed some silencer hit power.
Nope, I didn't change the way the weapons perform. I wanted to keep this vanilla as possible. Thanks for the offer though!

It's an interesting proposal, I like the new weapon placements, it makes an interesting difference!
It'd be possible to make the weapon positions in the mod more like they are in Clear Sky? I'm going to try and see if I can do it.
