This is the best I could do to try to get you Mac users in the trenches with the rest of us.
The installation is rather tricky, especially since I don't have a Mac to test it on. But someone did get it running, so check the description below for how they did it.
I haven't run this myself but I'm told it works:
- Cut/copy the original game data file as a backup
- Copy the contents of the original EiB/RtH30 .dmg file to a new folder
- Copy the contents of the mod .tgz file to the same folder
- Create a new .dmg disk image file using a disk utility (example: Make a DMG File on a Mac)
- Install the new .dmg disk image
You can probably manage this much more easily if you are able to use terminal commands. You might even be able to just copy the relevant files to the proper directory this way, and skip a lot of the above steps.
If you have a better method, a better explanation, or can create an installation script that I can distribute, please let me know! Mac users across the globe would be eternally grateful.

I had trouble with getting the game running with the original five steps from the author. My amateur attempts finally worked and this is how I got it run for both BiA games:
1)Go the Game App >Show Content >Resources >Open(mount) the EiB/RtH30Data.dmg file.
2) Application >Utilities >Disk Utilities >File >New Image (from the mounted dmg from step 1) EiB/RtH30data.
3) Save as any name into your applications but be sure to change the format to Read/Write.
4) Move the content from the downloaded mod (.tgz file) into the new dmg file you just created.
5) Place the dmg file you created into the game's Resource folder and be sure to delete the game's original EiB/RtH30Data.dmg file.
6) Run the game and enjoy!
