Awesome, thanks a lot for releasing it!. A quick questions I have so far:
- what is the difference between SEUS and ACES tonemapping?
- any advantage for using ACES over SEUS?
- SSDO_QUALITY is mentioned but commented out. Is this redundant code, or is SSDO included?
1. Visual look. I recommend to test aces and seus. In my opinion aces is best, byt friend told me that seus is even better. i included two alghoritms so everyone can choose.
2. I think only visual difference
3. Unused code, instead od SSDO i will include DeamonJax AO code.
Nice indeed! question how can i get more color? i trying disabling things in the shaders config, but maybe u know how (idk what makes my game grayish and dark). Thanks! :D
Hmm... try to disable saturation filter and also contrast. leave only aces tonemapping, and color grading if you want.
Nice, ill give it a shot, thanks stalker!
Alright, i tried it with CoC, with a few texture mods installed and with RTTN (Road To The North) with Directx 9 used, i barely get 10 fps. The game was working pretty well, into the 100's in fps.
My GPU and CPU are as followed:
GTX 970
I5-2500k
Hm... Open shaders_config.h file in gamedata\shaders\r2 and change this line
#define USE_SUN_SHAFTS
to this
//#define USE_SUN_SHAFTS
Sunshafts are heaviest thing in shaders so you can try to disable it and test.
That did improve the performance to about 30-35 fps, and it's now playable. But still, it probably shouldn't be performing like it is, so i think the problem is on my end. Thanks for the response.
I think you added too much content. I've played with shaders on clean CoC 1.5 RC6, but i turned off sunshafts.
I7 870 - OC 3.8ghz
GTX550 Ti
8GB RAM.
That's my PC. You should get more fps on your unit, maybe check NVidia settings?
I think i found a solution
Right-Click on your desktop and select "NVIDIA Control Panel"
Go to 3D Settings -> Manage 3D Settings
Click on the "Program Settings" tab
Find STALKER in the list of games or manually browse to it with "Add"
If you are getting above 60fps skip to Step 7.
Set "Maximum pre-rendered frames" to "1"
Set "Threaded Optimization" to "On"
Okay, it works pretty well now, i'm hitting the 60-70 fps, even with autumnal winds and CoC HD models addon. Thank you very much for going through with this, the game looks very good! :)
can I use this on Dead Air without merge any files?
No, you cannot.
hey guys , how can i install it or smthing
