Check if RaisingTheBarRedux_div2.4 is in a subfolder.
.../sourcemods/RaisingTheBarRedux_div2.4/RaisingTheBarRedux_div2.4 for example.
i need help i followed all of the instructions on the mod page and updated redux to 2.1 but the game still has the suit charger icon on it and i cant pick up ammo
I'm liking this, the feel, mood and everything. I must admit I'm totally stuck and awaiting a walkthrough, soon I guess.Been fun so far though. Yes I can noclip and find areas I couldn't before, but that's no fun so it's just me being rubbish at playing it.I wonder how it ends...playing the way I do probably means triggers and map changes don't work, so it'll be good to watch someone that actually knows what they are doing...currently it's not me though...lol.
is there a way to run the mod under Linux using Proton? asking because i followed the installation instructions and forced to run the mods and the Source SDK via Proton, but the game still crashes with the "Could not load library client" error message. base RTB:R is working fine in Proton, but Salvation crashes.
the lack of saves makes this unnecessarily punishing
Can you use quick save and quick load?
no
Low ammunition.
Hello, anybody of you got a fix for a crash?
When I click "New Game" and it finishes loading I get a crash to desktop. Any idea what it could cause?
While I do not have the best hardware, I can safely say that I can play Source games and mods alike.
Now, can anyone explain to me why my FPS tank when I enter the church?
Exit and I see a whole map. I assume it loads everything at once instead of what's visible to the player.
Dissapointed. Went expecting a horror experience, with more atmosphere than combat, and I got WAY too much combat, and more frustration than anything. It's very trial/error, and tbh I god mode the ending. Idk how one's suppose to do that.
Hope RTB Triumph is a better experience.
I followed the install instructions and the game is loading the menu without issue, but crashes when I try to start a new game right before the map rtbr_salvation_01 loads. I don't have any problems with RTB:R so I'm confused.

Had a lot of fun with this! The ending was pretty tense, and it was surprising to actually feel a little scared of Ravenholm again.
Just wanted to point out a few things I found though:
In rtbr_salvation_03 at
-3631 x, -467 y, 133 z
The door to progress has no handle, which in Source games generally means that the door is just decorative. People who are used to Half-Life may not realize it can be opened.
In rtbr_salvation_03 at
-2069 x, 182 y, 417 z
The double doors open in opposite directions.
There were a few points where it didn't seem too clear on where to go, but the main one was in rtbr_salvation_04.
The first gas can to start the generator is dimly lit, and there's no indictation that this would be the solution in the first place. The player has been taught about grabbing gas cans before, but only as part of the burning sections, and they are clearly indicated.
But in general, this mod was really enjoyable, I'd definitely recommend it!
This was nice to play through, but the longer I played through it, the more and more untested it felt and the less enjoyable it got. Little things like the first gas can in the last level not having an indicator, especially when it's very dark, making it really hard to spot; The swarm of baby headcrabs without a clear indicator of where to go and immediately getting jumped, even though I just came from finishing Division 2.1. Overall, it was just constant trial and error, and there were obvious moments of oversight or forgetting to think from a player's perspective (I.E, gas can from the last level; fast zombies and headcrabs being the most INFURIATING things due to almost zero medkits meaning constantly low health, same with ammo).
Where's the installation guide? It's not in my download pack. Thanks
Go to the tab "files" directly under the headline "Raising the Bar: Salvation Half-Life 2: Episode Two mod | Released Dec 31, 2023" and open the "Description". There you´ll find it.

Unfortunaltely the Game crashes immediately after I start a new game. I tried different resolutions n stuff, but nothing did help.
Any ideas?
e:/ RaisingTheBarRedux_div2.4 was in a subfolder. I copied it a level down. that solved the problem.
I played Deathless for my first time and the baby fast headcrab tunnel was absolute bullshi*, how was I supposed to know to open/kick a knobless door without the kick icon on it ?
i completely agree with you. that door completely blends in with the boring grey wall and nothing about it stands out.
hey i just realized it would be less retarded if you made it so that you had an accuracy penalty when you clicked mouse 1 faster instead of having to click mouse2 to fire faster
