Barrels make a sound when they're hit, Melee Zombies make the scene, Chaingunguys eject bullet casings, the first 3 episodes of Ultimate Doom have new intermission pics and 11 more HD textures are in.
In the lead-up to Rabid's Crap 40 (and can you tell I can't wait?), a few more new things have been dropped in to make things interesting.
Explosive barrels should make a sound when they're hit, even if they don't explode. Thanks to the EVP mod, now they do! The provider of the sound is missing from EVP's credits, so if anyone can clue me in, that'd be great.
In Brutal Doom 64, SgtMarkIV has an unused Melee Zombie sprite. Well, I went ahead and modified the Zombieman code to put that sprite into action as a new monster. Yup! Now there's a zombie in Doom who walks up to strike at you. Easy to kill, but can probably be a nuisance. He'll ambush you and jump off ledges to get at you. So far, he only shows up in Icon of Sin.
Chaingunguys eject bullet casings when they fire their guns. It's pretty sweet.
There are now hi res intermission pics for the first three episodes of Ultimate Doom, taken from DR4. I don't know their original creator. Somebody please tell me!
