What does this mean for the Mod?

Well, this time we ship a full working installer for you, containing everything you need to get the Mod running either in Multiplayer or Singleplayer.
It merges Singleplayer, Multiplayer (Remaster MP), all patches, new Weapons, offline fix and HD texture pack into one thing.
We will clear the ModDB page from the old downloads and will publish only full installers with each new update. You don't need anything else than a full installer now!

But whats new for you?

• Offline Version (Singleplayer ONLY) is working out of the box now. Just install and play without much thinking. All unlocks are on the soldiers already, you wont have the customscreen from multiplayer!
• Online Multiplayer is now supported. All kits are set up to work with unlocks (this requires a Masterserver, see next line). The Customizationscreen does work here!
• Reclamation online gameservers are ready to be played on. You can now connect to Reclamation servers and play with real people online!
• HD Texture pack is integrated by default and got many new textures e.g. HD images for unlocks in the customization screen, soldiers, objects etc.
• New weapons are integrated now in both versions of the mod. PAC has a new pistol on all classes, a new Carbine for Recon, a new LMG on Support; EU has a new pistol and a new shotgun on Support.
• Bugfixes on many textures. Balance changes on weapons, ammo and AI.

You need your Battlefield 2142 or Battlefield 2142 Deluxe Edition (CD/DVD/Origin/Internet etc. doesn't matter) patched to version 1.51.
To do so, click here for patch 1.50 and install it, then click here and install patch 1.51.

If you have an older version of the mod installed, you must remove it.
To do so, navigate your Windows Explorer to your /Battlefield 2142/ or /Battlefield 2142 Deluxe Edition/ install folder, open the /mods/ folder and remove all folders that have "Project Remaster" in its name.
DO NOT REMOVE THE BF2142 FOLDER!

Now download project_remaster_v1.3_full_setup.zip and unpack the ZIP-file somewhere on your computer.
You should see a project_remaster_v1.3_full_setup.exe and two other files that came with it.
Start the project_remaster_v1.3_full_setup.exe now and navigate through the instructions.

On the screen with tickboxes you have some options:

• Multiplayer - Always gets installed, this is the core-mod [Required]
• Singleplayer - Lets you play offline Singleplayer and have access to all weapons/equipment via pre-set loadouts for each kit. Loot fallen bots' dead bodies to get different primary rifles. [Optional]
• Offline Fix - You need this for Singleplayer. This will install an offline profile so you can "login" offline. This is for people who have a fresh installation of Battlefield. [Optional]
• OpenSpy - You need this for Multiplayer. This patches the game so you can connect and play on Reclamation online servers. This is the same patch as the BFHUB provides. If you already have BFHUB and the OpenSpy patch, then you can skip this.
• English Language - You will need this to have our HD Fonts ingame, other languages than english are not supported with HD fonts. It changes the ingame language via a registry edit. [Optional]

Next comes the installation folder, the installer should find your Battlefield 2142 folder automatically.
If not, just navigate to your /Battlefield 2142/ folder where the bf2142.exe resides in.
Example: C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\Battlefield 2142

After the Mod is installed you can start the Mod from the "Remaster Launcher" on your Desktop.

This tool is meant to make the starting of the Mod easier.
The Remaster Launcher is divided into two parts, Multiplayer and Singleplayer.

• Multiplayer lets you start the game in fullscreen 1920x1080 into Reclamation servers and has links to the Remaster and Reclamation Discords.
• Singleplayer just starts the game in offline-mode and in Singleplayer Mod version.
• Both screens let you create shortcuts for your desktop in fullscreen 1920x1080 and windowed mode 1024x768.

This is the best part of this release. Let me quote the Reclamation ModDB page here:
The "Battlefield 2142 Reclamation Mod" allows players to play Battlefield 2142 Online Multiplayer again,
providing an Alternate Master Server System, as a replacement for the now shutdown GameSpy master server system. It provides ALL UNLOCKS and NEW STATS & RANKING! This is all thanks to the hard work and dedication of the Dethklok Clan.

It's more a serversystem running in the background than an actual mod. Think of a datacenter hosting servers for you to join.They host a Masterserver for BF2142 with working unlocks and stats while also providing gameservers for vanilla BF2142 in the EU and US.
But as of today there are Project Remaster 1.3 servers too!
**Our Project Remaster 1.3 servers don't require the mappack that you may have read about! This might change in future updates.**

To get running for online Multiplayer on Reclamation servers you must have the OpenSpy patch from our installer or from the BFHUB installed.

Start the game with Remaster Launcher, BFHUB or via bf2142.exe directly.

At the LogIn-screen simply click "create account" and fill in EMAIL, PASSWORD, DATE OF BIRTH and a COUNTRY.
PLEASE USE FAKE DATA HERE AS EVERYTHING YOU TYPE IN IS STORED IN PLAINTEXT!

Then you create a new soldier and get into the main menu.

Here you can open the server browser and join games, look at your stats etc.

If the Remaster Launcher won't create desktop shortcuts, start the Remaster_Launcher as admin.

If you messed up the installation, simply uninstall the Mod. To do so, open your windows startmenu and find the Folder "Project Remaster Mod", start "Uninstall Project Remaster 1.3 Full Mod Pack.exe" .
You can also open your system settings -> Apps and uninstall the Mod from there. Just search for "Project Remaster".
You get asked if you want to uninstall the OpenSpy patch too, if it is installed in the first place.

If you cannot get the online Multiplayer to work, login, create an account etc. (basicly everything online related),
then please download the BFHUB from here AND join the "Reclamation Discord" to get free, cool technical support from the guys.


If the Singleplayer or anything regarding the Project Remaster Mod (this means weapons, balance, vehicles, maps etc.) isn't working or you just have a suggestion,
then please come to our "Project Remaster Discord".

If you get weird screen glitches, steady images or frozen images while dead, looking in a specific direction or getting explosions near you, then simply disable Anti Aliasing from the games graphic settings.

• Integrated the new weapons addon into SP and MP mode of the Mod:
  The PAC Recon got the "Vostok Rifle" instead of the Lambert Carbine, which are basicly the same weapons beside looks. Also a motion grenade that acts as a temporary UAV.
  The PAC Support got the "Koenig LMG" instead of the GANZ (default PAC_MG gets replaced in MP), a WW2-ish LMG with a high firerate and high capacity magazine.
  The EU Support now has a Shotgun that is skinned like the vanilla RDX_Shotgun from NorthernStrike. It punshes harder, but its reach and magazine are reduced.
  The RDX Shotgun itself is skinned like the Shotgun of each faction to fit the theme.
  You find two new pistols on both sides Recon class. EU got the "Ares V" while the PAC got a "Magnum revolver".
  Both pistols are capable of dealing heavy damage and are highly effective.
  Assaults have the Bofors instead of the Baur, this gun hits hard and has a high shotgun/rocket capacity.
