The Portal 2005 Beta, the earliest version of Portal.
This is the Portal 2005 Beta, the earliest beta of Portal. You will notice that in this version, most of the textures, entities, and overall assets have been ripped directly from Half-Life 2. There are only a few test chambers, and there is no GLaDOS- the only objective is to escape Aperture Science. Instructions on how to install the beta are contained within the Readme included with the download. Have fun!
The level transitions are broken, how are you supposed to get to different levels? Please fix this.
Try enabling the developer console and type "map (what ever chamber you're about to enter)". There should be a list of maps in a folder where the game is located.

Whenever I start the game it starts but the valve intro is just a bunch of nonsense and then closes when it ends

The timer takes WAYYYY too long before I can actually start playing. Also, when I get in the elevator, the doors open and there's just a wall with nowhere to go.
just type "map (insert map name here)" thats what happens in the beta (and also this is just a sourcemod of the beta)
I don't know the names of the maps though.
hello. I tried putting the 2005 beta in the sourcemod folder and it never appeared in my steam library. what can I do to get this beta working?
did you restart steam after putting the mod

did you open Portal 2005 Beta then put in Portal 2005 in to the sourcemods folder?
Does anyone have the same iusse?I put the folder into the sourcemod folder in steam,Portal 2006 will not show up.But I also tried the 2005 version that worked.I googled my problem but can't find anything.If you know how to fix it,please tell me how.Thank you.

please help me, how to install his mod ?? I installed portal on DVD-ROM so I don't have a steam folder.
